About the
publisher!
Hi, and Welcome. I'm Joe
Fizell. My Fizell ancestors are originally from France and came to Philadelphia, PA
in the 1790's via the French colony of St. Domingue or "St. Domingo" as the
early English speaking Americans called it.
I retired in 1995
and live with my wife Helen in a retirement community in Telford, PA, a small town between
Philadelphia and Quakertown, PA. Our own page is Joe
and Helen.

Fizell.org went up on the web in January 2001 originally intended to provide a
gathering place for Fizell surname family trees. It was later on I
realized each branch with a different surname became another separate family
tree, 170 pages of family trees to date.
There are variations of spelling for the Fizell surname. I am aware that
the Fizell surname's roots are in France, in the Palatine area of Germany,
and in countries of Eastern Europe. Many Palatines emigrated through Ireland to the West Indies,
Australia and America, while records of the French are found in Nova Scotia, the
West Indies and America. Your
visit to this website is appreciated and comments are invited. We will add your Fizell family tree if
provided.
Facts on living
persons are restricted to names only. If you are listed in any of the
family trees on this website and wish to have your name removed, please advise me by email, and
do not consider it done until I have sent you the corrected link. Also, it is highly recommended that all
persons
insist that their mother's maiden name is never used as a security check with any
institution or government. Thanks!
Please
look around. We are here that relatives near and distant may find us and
add their information to what we hope will then become, their Website too!.
I
found the following scripture quoted on another genealogy site!
Sirach 44:7-9
All
these were honored in their generations,
and were the pride of the times.
Some of them have left behind a name
so that others declare their praise.
But of others, there is no memory,
they have perished as though they had never
existed;
they have become as though they had never been born,
they and their children
after them.
Email
Policy
I really appreciate
all the email. Thank you very much. I try to answer everyone within
a reasonable time. If I recognize you as being related to one of the families
published here, I admit I respond almost immediately. When the volume is heavy
or I am struggling with computer problems, it sometimes takes
a few weeks for me to answer everyone. All email is answered.
Your email address is
added to my Address Book, sorted by the surname you ask about. Addresses
of each person researching your surname are included in my reply to
you. You will receive a copy of all future correspondence about your
family name. So,
even if you are not related to a family on this website, you still have an
opportunity now, and in the future, to make contact with other's who are
researching your family name. I am pleased to
say this web site had helped families find relatives they did not know
existed.
One important
reminder! If you change your email address after contacting me, please
send me your new address. I've had several hundred letters returned as
undeliverable for that reason.
This web site does not generate any
income. The site is a family affair. (See our Privacy
Policy above.) Email addresses are not sold or
distributed. I appreciate criticism and feedback. And one day I'll
find some of my relatives who have been lost over the generations.
Thanks, Joe
Fizell
